Just took out my engine on my 84 200x. What is the proper way to secure it to my work bench?... (does that make sense?.. I've been drinking.lol) On 6th St. Paulie Girl Dark.....:p

And here I though the question was going to be "how do I spell legitimate...?"

I would screw a few 2x4's to the top to steady it, maybe a couple brackets to act as motor mounts...

What i did it took a 2x6 and bolted some angle iron to it, then i drilled holes in the angle iron to bolt up to the lower motor mount hole, slide the stock bolt through and tighten it down then screw the 2x6 to the workbench. Yep its really MacGyver looking but does the job.

This here solved all my problems:
I knew I would use that piece of junk someday... it was the first thing i replaced with OEM on my shee lol
It held while I worked on the whole engone with no screws or anything, but It's cheaper to do the other guy's solutions ^^^^

Merry Christmas Killbot. Nothing better than beers while working on the trikes. I usually just put a 2x4 under the front mount and she stays there real nicely. Last time I put my x together was 4th of July, only took 6 beers to go from split tranny to engine in the frame hahaha, it even runs!

I find the answer usually comes after the 8th St. Paulie Girl, if not you may need to switch to some Stella's, or Pilsner urquell's.:D
