Has anyone bought the white 85-86 maier 250R rear fender? Does it come with the black rectangle on it? Cause i was thinking of getting an 86 250R and put white plastic on it to make it look like an 87, but if it has that black trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro on it then im going red.

I black things are just decals, at least they were on my 84 250r. they come right off.

Yes they are plastic and can be removed! Go for white, I love it on mine.

Mark, I'm really thinking about following your format! we have the same seat cover. I have factory fork boots in great shape now.

Is that the shiny plastic? what did the set of shrouds cost? pm me the cost if you want.

Nice R!

Jeb, do a search under the ATV parts on eBay for "tecate." There's a full set of new white plastics, a red seat and a nice red tank, all for $540.[/url]

I picked up the fenders and they are non shiny for $55.00 rear at Recreation Unlimited. They are about 45 mins from me. The shrouds and front fender both came off ebay $15.00 for new shiny front fender and $15.00 for non shiny shrouds. I want a white gas tank but haven't found one at the right price. My R isn't a beauty, but hell it does all I want it to do.

I appreciate the link, but that guy is smoking something serious! $540! :D

Plus the rear fender looks to me like its had some cut off of it. i don't think it hangs down as far as it should on the right side.

Mark, your R looks great!

I just checked at Maiers for a full set of white including the headlight part and it was $330 not including shipping. I think I'm going to be ordering a set if its all shinny.
