250es 2" lift Question

Sorry guys, been searching here and ebay for hours now because I know I've seen it. Its like a $2 knuckle that lifts the rear up about 1 1/2"-2". I can't seem to find it because I don't know what its called. Any help will be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

You know I've seen this and questioned the idea every time!

The practicality of this change up has a couple fatal flaws in my opinion..

1st the increased driveshaft u-joint angle and the additional wear&tear on the joints.

2nd the decreased stability from the higher centre of gravity.

I've owned 4 or 5 250ES now and thru trial and error experimentation have found rim and tire combinations that make this trike go places it never could before!

I personally couldn't see how the increased 2" height could be of any real benefit especially considering the potential mechanical and stability offset??

Also the increase of chassis clearance doesn't do anything to increase the rear axle/diff clearance..that for me is what bottoms 90% of the time on a rocky trail..taller tires and rims improves that too!!

the idea is if you lift it 2 inches you can get bigger tires on it. that will raise the diff up. i have 27 inch executioner tires on my big red and after installing them i wish i had gone with 28s.

The extra torque he has when he rides is quite noticable, he can power up a hill in third gear when I have to stay in second to prevent lugging the machine.

That is why they call them opinions..guys gotta do what feels right to him.

Oh, sorry guys. the reason I want to install it is because its $2 and my shock is worn and already sits a little low. With my 350x front on it it sits a little high in the front, not much but just looking to level it out.

I really would like to find a nice shock to through in there. something brand new. But who knows what?

i agree on power thats why i have been thinking of trying to do some power adders

yes my bigred was pretty tired when i got mine on it and it lost compression not long after. so it will be fun to see how she does once i get it freshened up

Not sure what $2 knuckle you mean Kebby..I've seen pics of the part others have gabbed to do this, but never one ready made for sale if that's what you're referring too!

the link three-wheelinfeelin posted is the same part i have on my 250es i read somewhere on a post here that 2" of lift was the maximum amount of lift that didnt seem to damage anything. anyway i run +4 overall spacers on the rear, a 2" lift and a 9" wide 27 inch front tire on the front and my es feels alot more comfortable on the slanted trails the were formerly my bane.
although im thinking of making my own bracket out of steel simply because the brackets in that link seem really light duty
