So here was the Tecate I just score about a week ago. I just finished cleaning the carb and I replaced the swingarm bearings and bushings. I took it for a ride for the first time where I felt comfortable opening it up, and OH MY GOSH!!!! It is definitely the fastest bike I have ever owned. This includes a 85; R and a 86 KXT. I will post more pictures and maybe a video ASAP. So getting back to the topic as the posting is titled....... the fenders on my bike are the OEM fenders, but cracked almost in two pieces. On eBay right now there are a few sets of fenders of front and rear for the 84-85 KXT's left. I was able to snag a set of white ones as pictured below and for only $250 + S/H. I will be cleaning up my bike here next spring. So just throwing this out there but if anyone out there is in need of a set.... this would be your perfect opportunity! Good Luck!!

Nice score. How does that tank still look so good?

I don't know how that tank kept it's color so well...... must have been stored inside for most of it's life...... but when I get back in the spring, I am going to be getting a white tank to match the set..... I have also attached a pic of a trike that gave me the idea for going to all white plastics. I got the same number plate and I will probably be going with the Kawasaki green and blue vice the orange that this guy has on his trike.

How did you get those for 250?

If you look for them on eBay and click on the link for the Auction... there is a button to Place an Offer. I selected the option to "Place an Offer" and placed an offer of 200.00. He countered the offer, I countered his offer and he replied with his final lowest price. I wanted them for 275.00 and that was to include shipping cost, but the best he could do was 251.00+39.00 for S/H for a total to my door step of 290.00.

I thought the 84 had a smaller carb but I'm not claiming to have the answer on that.
