Anyone know what kind of bike this is.... i.e. Is that and after market bolt on rear suspension kit or is this a homemade job? What is the value?

Taking a guess....looks like a 185 with perhaps a pk rear suspension. Have no clue on price. I also like the supertrapp pipe.

So it's not one of those off the hitch frames that's extremely hard to come by and worth more than my house??? Guy is asking $800..... I wouldn't even think of entertaining the thought. I think its kinda ugly!!

$450 tops in CA, it looks like a conversion on a stock frame.

Hahahahhahaha.....LMAO  Ahh.... NO thank you! A little too scrap yardish for me..... Not that I would EVER take a trike to the scrap yard, but I just like the cleaner newer looking machines. Thanks guys for the info.

those suspended 185's hold a chapter in atc racing history that isnt referenced much.
that bike is a conversion and not one of the aftermarket frames. still neat though.

I grab that, wouldn't go for $800 as a stock 185.
But that has some great bones..make an interesting rebuild project.

Id love to have it. $450 sounds a lot better.
Considering that bone stock 185's sell for 600 around me.... $800 for that would be a steal in my area.
But still low ball him to hades LOL

Its ugly until you make it pretty! I have my hands on one right now. You do not see many of these around. Have a change of heart and go save it.

If you're passing on this Stubbie pass on the CL listing or wherever you found it..
A bit out of my neighborhood, but someone here might decide it's worth the drive.

here's a quick history on that trike.
that trike frame was bought by vealmonkey out of NC or TN or somewhere down south. he sold it to me in pieces and i built it for my ol lady. we kept it for around 1 yr and traded it off to matt taylor. matt then traded it to atctim, and tim sold it to itrike. i am assuming he is the one selling it now.
it has a weld on rear suspension kit and aftermarket front end. i was never able to figure out what the forks were off from but i do know that i used 200x fork seals for them. the best i could find was that the kit matched what HI Performance ATC offered back in the day but at this point there is no way of telling who actually produced those pieces.
it was a very neat piece to have and handles well on the ice. we had it at icefest in i think 08 or 09.

It never ceases to amaze me when someone buys a truckload of rusty stock junk and thinks it's totally cool and they just got the deal of the century. Then other would look at this and think it's a piece of junk. Some people just have no clue. I though that looked kind of familiar. A piece of history that isn't very easy to find anymore, especially on the East Coast. These kits were the bomb until the 200x came around and even cooler if it was a complete aftermarket frame. A great score for whoever picks it up, especially for those that can't work a clutch.

And that bike went with an NOS aftermarket NASA axle too. That is indeed a super cool bike. It needs restored to early 80's race fashion!

Special Thanks to Mr. Clean for posting the link to the craigslist ad for me..... Sorry I didn't get back in time to post it myself!! And Sorry if I offended anyone with my comment of "a little too scrap yardish for me" but it is just not what I would look for. They always say "one mans junk is another mans treasure." And I can see the diamond in the rough... New plastics, polished pull starter, after market chrome pipe, chrome dipped swing arm, New hole shots, Por-15 the tank inside and fresh powder coat on the outside, new decals, new seat cover, New fluids and brake pads..... and .... and.... and..., Oh Gosh that was my inside voice..... Now you guys know what I think every time I see a trike!!! :Bounce Yep... Your:welcome:

I thought that wheeler smelled familiar. I have ridden it and it is FUN - scary fun!! If that axle is included, it's worth a pretty penny alone. I haven't seen anything like it before or since. Zoom in and check out the custom 80's painted tank.

Well not so true.... I knew it was a 185, 185s, or a 200, but I didn't know about the frame? I remember seeing on here a while ago about a company that made a frame that was EXTREMELY rare. I think is was called a simpson.... or something like that. Needless to say if it was one of those I was going to leave immediately and go and get that thing... But only to turn around and sell it to someone on here that really likes that part of trike history. I grew up with the trikes from about 84'-87' and have rode since then. Some of my trikes were older than that, but nothing ever modded like this bike. I think its kinda cool, but nothing I would ever own.

One thing is for sure and that is... it looks like it has ALOT of travel in that rear set up.
