SX Engine mockup Fuel Tank

I'm looking for ideas here. On my mockup, I need to hang a small gas tank to feed the carb. I've been looking at hundreds of gas tanks on Ebay and I haven't found the RIGHT one yet. Perhaps one of you know of such a tank and its source or perhaps even have a tank that meets my requirements.

I need a tank that is small and compact.
Fill cap on top
Drain nipple on bottom
Metal or plastic
Capacity 30-50 Ounces


I can attach a bracket to the head and hang it off the head. The tank has to be mounted above the carb height for it to feed right. I'll put an inline fuel valve to shut it off when changing carbs. I'm looking for ideas or something that I haven't thought of. What would you do. I like getting different opinions as it always spurs great ideas so lets hear it.

I use a motion pro,fill cap on top,nipple on bottom with a hook on the handle.

I has a small, semi curved plastic tank from a lawnmower
that hung nicely off the handlebars with bailing wire but I see
you want an actual bench test type.

I actually started looking for the old school glass I.V. medical
thingie and found a few that were specifically made for the last episode of MASH parties
(for drink dispensers)

I know this ain't helping you but like you said, maybe spur some ideas.
Thinking somehow mounted to the top engine mount would be best?

I'll certainly keep my eyes open.

Looks like you're getting closer.
Not sure I like 36 bucks for that 2nd one.

I just got rid of about 30 pushmowers, which usually happens right before I need something or I'd send you a box full of tanks for free.
I think I have a couple dead leaf blowers I can look at unless the scrapper took them.

That's about what I had envisioned except the tank post would be mounted to the cart rather than free standing. Thanks for the pic. That helps.

I bought this tank a few minutes ago.

Its the right size and shape and much like the one in the pic above. Now I just need some 1" square tubing.
