I bought a new Intake for my 300r, Yes I know there are lots of posts out there I have read them. I was wondering what the best way about revitalizing hard rubber? I have read oil of wintergreen will work. I also read boiling makes it pliable but it will harden back up again. I also read brake fluid? I was leaning towards the brake fluid my self but I don't want to wreck the boot as its for the FL350 and paid a good penny for it!
Thanks guys!

do not use brakefluid unless you want to ruin it.. there really is no true cure for old hardened rubber. you just have to be carefull using it.

I haven't tried it but I know BKM swears by murphy's soap oil in boiling water.
I haven't tried it but I know BKM swears by murphy's soap oil in boiling water.I learned this trick from Mosh. I've used it on a 350x and 250r intake tube with good results.
