NEW 350X motor does not shift!!!!!

This popped up on EBAY for a good price so I grabbed it. I was up (in pain) till 6AM and found it newly listed.

I'm not angry, just joking with the angry face :D

I ALWAYS tell you guys with shifting issues to look at the external parts first; I new this was an easy fix. His manner of packaging did this.

Packaging a 100lb motor in shrinkwrap and useless tie downs......

The shifter got bent in transit, I wonder why? :lol:

It popped the shift shaft plate out of the drum driver.

So, a gasket, some bending and an oil seal and it's just like NOS again. NEVER fear a "splitting the cases issue" 9 times out of 10 it's an external shifting issue..........

Glad it was just a minor issue! Sometimes it's amazing what pops up on ebay, I have scored some hard to find parts for cheap but it is all about timing!

He He He He!!!! - I refresh my EBAY window often! I offered him more a week prior but he was a knucklehead. This is my 7th take out 200X or 350X motor I've got for no more that 1200$

It's all fixed so it will just sit. He got it from a local High School and I hear that often......

I got some $ refunded but what a silly way to ship something. I don't want to be rude because he did call me and was upset. Once he had the pics, he understood. My even bigger problem was begging for a shipping date as my bones are busted up and I new I needed help.

I found it at the end of my 125' driveway as shown. Then the no shift issue; I was not happy but knew it was nothing.......

how the hell do you guys always find these new 350x engines? i am looking for one fmr my 350x project and cannot find one. i was hoping to not to have to split the cases to replace crank bearings, but looks like I'm stuck. :/

Every day 2 or more times a day you must check the listings!! This is 5 350X and 2 of 3 rare 86 200X motors. All in about 6 years.

There was one for 2500.00$ a few weeks back but thats too much. I bet we see these for another 10 years or so!!

Yes Bill, this is a 1st for me. And it wasn't a young kid. WTF were the straps for :lol: At least I got 3 straps out of it!

Must have pissed the UPS driver off and I had to call my brother 45 minutes away to set it on my pool table because I begged for a tracking number to line up help, and never got it.....Because of my injuries, I can only lift maybe 40 lbs safely, but I can still drag and flop stuff on the side to work on it :D

Where did you buy that out of DC? I just recalled that I bought a used engine about 5 years ago and it was "packaged" the same way.

Seeing how these motors are commanding double what they did 2 years ago, I grab everyone I find for a great price.
