How rare are NOS 86 atc 250r switches? Also, what do they go for new, sealed in the bag? I need a new switch. The reproduction ones are $50, and look pretty bad. Used switches arent cheap either, and are usually pretty crusty.
So, I want to go with nos. Anyone know where to find a good nos switch? What should I expect to pay?

Right now, around $150 is what they are going for when they pop up on ebay. I have not seen them go for much more than that , just keep an eye out.

The list price is $96. So I guess $150 isnt too bad. Id like to find one cheaper though. When they were available, partzilla had em for around $60

I swear they are like $62-68 on ebay, but I bought mine last year, apparently they have been discontinued?

Yes they were available from Honda last year and they are now discontinued, the tank shrouds are still available but only while supplies last. QUOTE=nstyle73;1259435]I swear they are like $62-68 on ebay, but I bought mine last year, apparently they have been discontinued?[/QUOTE]

Damn. I just paid $100 for one. And $100 for a tri- one a few weeks ago. I should buy up some shrouds soon.

If you have the ambition and knowledge you can use near any model switch with some simple rewiring.
I always wondered how well the quality of the repo's are; Chime in guys........

The one repro switch I have is a little sloppy feeling in the red sliding engine stop, but works fine otherwise for general use (IMO). It's not terrible for the price & availability. Just my . 02 cents.

What about the repo light switch fit/finish on the bars; The all look mint en fleabay. Good copy?? Try one??
Most Honda quad switches can work and look stock.......
minor rewiring skills and good connectors required.

I know any switch can be made to work. But I like the real deal. I mean... The switches with the yellow, grey, and red buttons are on a few models. They are mostly the same except the wiring, like the 86 200x switch. But still... There is a thread about the reproduction switches on here somewhere.
Here it is.

Guess you found a NOS switch! I am hoping to see another "motherload" of NOS parts pop up for sale like when Donzi was selling tons of stuff back in 2010.

It seems like last year he was selling all those parts, something about a NFL collector.
None of his stuff I saw was fair/reasonable.
Time flies by!!

I love nos parts. It's like a drug to me.
It is so hard to open and use rare nos stuff. That Trx fender will probably never see a Trx. Haha.
