My carbs float valve hasnt been seating right. I took my carb apart and I found a plastic piece in the hole where the valve goes in. It is fine now since I got the plastic piece out, but I cant figure out what it is from. Has anyone seen this happen before? Only place it could have come from is through the fuel line right?

I have no idea, but that is crazy right there. Did you do the last carb rebuild? Maybe someone left some hidden treasure in there for you:wondering?

That looks like a piece of the gas cap. Mine fell apart not too long ago, talk about an endless nightmare of pulling carb over & over to find these black pieces of plastic in it. Take your tank off & flush it!

My tank is clear. Gas cap looks fine. Probably from the last owner. It had the overflow problem when I bought it. I adjusted the float and put a new valve in the carb. Still would overflow. Then I took it off again and found this plastic piece.

I see this all the time that is a piece of your petcock seal , feels like plastic but its hard rubber . order a seal for a trx250r so you don't have to buy a whole new petcock . part # 16955-HA2-005
or here is a rebuild kit
