well the base gasket on the tecate is finally starting to drip oil, when cold, and really loose it when its warm. could it be because the oil is synthetic? anyways, does anyone have any tips/suggestions/pictures to help aid my adventure?

Yes, I'll post some pics as soon as I can. Take pics of complicated areas before dissassembling. Also, use a case splitter, I made one from some 1/4" steel and some metric allthread. I just got finished with my 87 T3 (new crank seals ,bearings, all other seals, new top end) I'd suggest that you replace as much of the stuff inside there while you have your motor split. If you have any questions, feel free to E-Mail me,I'll post those pics as soon as I fix my E-mail problem.

the power valve is pretty basic, just line up the marks on the actuator rod with the marks on the valve gears
