Tecates are nice, I own an 87, but 250r's are way easier and cheaper to get parts and aftermarket stuff

Jmiller said it the best. The 250R is a great machine, and very east to find parts for. The tecate is also a nice machine but not as easy to find parts for, and you may have more to fix. I have both bikes. I think the 350X is the most comfortable to ride. The 2 stroke machines are faster though.
Thanks,
Mark

I also have both. The Tecate is definitely the faster, more demanding trike but the 250r I can depend on daily. By the way, the Tecate is STILL in the shop.

Motoman, Coming from a Tecate guy I advise going with the Honda 85-86 250R. Unless you have Green in your blood or want to really stand out in the crowd then stick with the Honda. Much, Much easier to find parts, Engine builders still developing the same basic powerplant etc.etc.etc.....
Oh, did I mention much easier to find parts...
Curtis.
I can attest the to the parts thing. i'm Tecate to the core but the 85 R has parts everywhere. new, used, & aftermarket.
