So I'm really close to getting my 84 250r back up and running after a complete engine rebuild, but while reassembling the shift mechanism, I noticed one of the teeth on the shift spindle is just about ready to break off. I'm having a real hard time finding a replacement, :wonderingI have one from an '81, but it is too long. Anybody out there have a nice one for sale? The shaft length I need is approx 3-7/8 long. Thanks, Joe F.

A shift spindle from a CR will also work. The length isn't exact, but it'll work.
