i have a 200x.. i was just wondering when i put the pistin in the sylinder al i did was make the ring gaps on the rings go on opposite sides.. is that ok?... the manual said to just make sure the gaps werent lined up.. is this ok?.. i put on to the front and one to the back

You should be fine with that as long as you first checked the ring gaps to make sure that they are not too small or large. Sometimes new rings need to be filed to fit specs.

it is best if you keep the ring gaps on the sides like at 2, 4, 8 and 10 oclockon pistons that don't have pins . that keeps them out of the higher wear areas,,
