I mushroomed the end of my crankshaft not having the right tip on my removal tool when I took the stator off to replace a coil. I ended up letting my stepfather "rethread" the shaft and his job didn't hold up. So I want to do it right this time, at least the best I can without splitting the case and replacing the shaft. Can anyone tell me what the correct thread pitch is for these cranks? He grounded of too much metal so I'm having to go down a size on the nut, but I would still like to have the right thread pitch on their. ANyone have a crank lyin round they can check?
