I got the sx ripped apart. thought I finally got everything put back together and wouldn't you know, I found a washer and another piece( they dropped in the oil catching pan) that I have no idea where they go. pretty sure they are from the right side( if sitting on it)
any ideas, im sure one of you know where these go

the black plastic piece looks like the swinger pivot cap, the washer may be from your drain bolt. hard to tell.

The larger one looks like the LH case crank access cap and the other is a thrust washer. How thick is it? Many people lose that washer if they pull out the kickstarter. I grease it in place to install it.
Need better pics - extra parts are not good.
Please tell me you did not remove the countershaft on the LH side by the 3 bolts........

YEAH YOU ARE RIGHT , PRETTY SURE THATS THE KICKSTART THRUST WASHER. STILL DONT KNOW ABOUT THE OTHER PIECE, I JUST LOOKED A LITTLE AT THE MANUAL AGAIN , AND DONT SEE ANTHING LIKE IT,
as far as the countershaft on left side, what page in the manual is that on? I don't think I did , but why , how bad is that??

Looks like the ks washer to me also. I can't make out anything on the other piece. You NEVER want to remove the 3 allen bolts on the countershaft side of a Honda shaft driven machine. It can be done very methodically laying on it's right side ,with a lot of finesse.

I believe the small washer is the thrust washer for the shift shaft judging by the hole size. See item 27

The "Other thing" looks like it goes on the back of the clutch as a spacer ( Thrust washer ). I might be wrong but that is what it looks like to me. But hey, what do I know other than 19 hrs of hard work without sleep can hinder your thinking. LOL
Did you look to see if your gears ( right side ) are all lined up?

The other pic it looked like a spacer. This picture helps drastically!!!
That item is actually the push button that goes in the center of the clutch pressure plate ( in the bearing ). On the clutch fiche I am 99.9% sure it's #8 PIECE, CLUTCH LIFTER .
It is used to disengage the clutch when shifting. Without it the clutch won't disengage and it will cause your transmission the slam when shifting. This would cause problems. Pop the cover and get these parts installed!!

Thanks for sharing, NS. I love these guys, but there's always these massive 4-digit-pricetag showroom quality builds that I could never hope to match, and once in a while it's nice to see a regular guy say "Oh, crap, was this part important?"
That's my level....

MY LEVEL TOO!! I do know its never good to have extra parts when you get done. they wouldn't put them in there if they were not needed, right?

Sometimes we have to wait for parts or have the time to fix it.
Always keep a notebook handy, pics are great and use plastic ties on ALL hollow assemblies. Clean your parts and cut the ties once your ready with parts and time......
