I acquired this pipe and it has no marking. I searched on an older tread and read that the only pipe with j hooks on the spring mounts were phase 5 pipes which is what i have have but when studying pics it highly resembles a dg pipe. Any inputs?

The older DG and Phase 5 are the ones that had the J hooks. I'll take a scope out of my phase 5 and compare the two.

My dg has hooks like that but it also had dg stamped on the mount too.

i asked another member who has seen both the old school dg and p5 and said that the convergent portion of the exhaust after the mount bracket on the p5 has a noticeable curve down while the dg pipe has more of a straight bend. the p5 also has a larger expansion in the exhaust vs the dg. any inputs on that piece of info?added a pic for reference. i dont have a dg to do a side by side comparison of the expansion chamber, can someone who has one maybe take a measurement of the largest diameter of a true dg pipe so i can compare it and so others will have more info when trying to id their exhaust pipes.. i saw a pic of an old school dg pipe with j hooks and no dg stamp on the expansion chamber but had dg stamped on the rear mounting bracket mine has 222 stamped on it.

To be honest it looks like an older DG can. It's kinda trashed though so i was gunna try an whip somethin out to look like a Dr. Q 500 silencer for behind it
