barn find 250sx

A good friend jeff that I have ridden quads w for years called me a few weeks back.. he said a guy he went to school w was giving him a old 3wheeler but we had to go dig it out of a barn. So off we go, I was like a kid at xmas! Lol
Went we got there the barn had fallen on top of the trike! I quickly climbed thru a window to get to it, it was a 86 250sx! We pulled barn wood off it till I could find out if the motor turned over, IT DID! So after cutting a hole in the 1 standing wall it was able to see daylight for the 1st time in over 20 years! The owner parked it for winter in 91 and lost the key, hadn't touched it since!
Got it to my shop, went thru carb and wiring harness, changed fluids and it fired rite up!
Some parts were donated, some purchased and now its back on the trails again!

And durring putting this SX together I was asking around about parts, I stumbled on to this 84 200X! Another forgotten barn trike!!
Owner parked it in 02 cause tank leaked! Cleaned carb, fixed tank and she runs and drivers great! Needs rear brakes and fenders.

On last friday we took the SX and my P3 to same tavern.. we ran into the original owner of the SX!
He got to ride it for the 1st time aince 91! You couldnt take the smile off his face!! Watching him ride it and do wheelies like it was still 1990 had me smiling as much as he was!

Yep! That was a test phase lol!
But we were able to ride it, see what it needed and what shape it was really in.
This pict is w the original fenders, and 25in quad rears.. lol

Nice score MIK6! I love the SX in the pile of rubble! LMAO... I swear 2 thousand years from now people will be finding Honda trikes buried deep below the soil like old bones... they will clean the carb, pour a little gas in the tank and off they will go!

Having someone tell you that there is a old trike in a fallen down barn and then you get there and it is a 86 SX. Buddy you are living the dream! Very cool
