So this just came to mind and I figured I might as well help somebody else so here it goes. On 83-84 Honda 250r's the back hubs are all about whopped by now, and if yours was like mine you were scouring ebay for spare hubs, but wait whats this, 400ex hubs will fit AND make it 1.5" wider? :D So after figuring that out I figured why not use extended hubs for a 400EX? :naughty: Rocky Mountain sells hubs by G Force that are billet aluminum and 3.5" wider than stock but if 400ex hubs are already 1.5" wider, than extended hubs make you a grand total of 5" wider! The best part is the hubs are 99 bucks brand new and the craftsmanship is awesome they held up to a fair beating on my '84 R and are much stronger and wider than wheel spacers, enjoy it you'll have to worry about spinning out instead of flipping now ;)

Same spline. I know this works on 81-84 R's, and 83-85 200X's. Not sure if other honda models are the same spline, but I'm willing to bet they are

those hubs have the same splines as:

atc70
atc90
atc110
atc125m
atc185
atc185s
atc200
atc200s
81-84 250R
83-85 200x

im not sure about the 250SX, BIG RED, or the 86/87 200X

pretty much the only bikes they for sure wont fit are the 85/86 250R and 350X

I know the 85 250SX can rock 450R hubs because a guy on Instagram is running them on his.

While a welder and grinder makes anything possible.. A 250SX rocking 450 R hubs would be quite a sight indeed....

And how do these cast hubs produce a bearing and seal journal for an SX??

Well i need new hubs and rims on my 1st gen 200x, i know what i will be using. :)
I never used a wider axel or wheel spacers though, especially on a trike. What does it improve and how does it handle?

Pretty much everything :D My '84 with the plus 5" rear end handled like a mofo, never wanted to tip, and landed jumps better if you got a little crooked. Be warned tho, plus 5 is huge right after I put them on I went night riding and didn't realize the trike was wider than one part of the trail and I ate it lol Dammit it made a huge improvement and id swear if I didn't know any better the g force hubs look like they were made by durablue or something

400EX that is 4/110 right?

The hubs on my 1990 LT250s also fit on my '82 250R. Drat and I just bought new wheels for 4/130 to share tires between them.
Oh well another new set of tires and rims never hurt anybody.

Yupp, Honda sport stuff is 4/110 and Yamaha sport is usually 4/115
