I am pretty sure there is a thread on that boot on here for the 250sx , If I remember right, maybe a boot from a Honda 4X4 ATV? I will have to do a search.

The SX boots are still available from Honda for about 20 bucks. Get em while they are still available.

Newfie, and no scales.. No offense here. I'm only trying to help. I have had customers bringing me these for over 25 years. And yes,I have seen duct tape, many times. Gorilla tape is what $6 a roll. The perfect, brand new Honda OEM part is $20. Come on !! Here is exactly what happens. Dirt, mud and water will infiltrate your duct tape. That will eat away your pinion seal. That muck goes in your differential housing, eating away at EVERYTHING in there. Particularly your pinion bearing, that gets sloppy, and gone far enough, will split your diff wide open. Along with tearing up your axle bearings and seals. ALL for a $20 boot. You are now WAY North of a $1000 repair bill + labor. All to save $15 and sliding the right part in. I have seen this 1st hand more times than I can count and have saved a few of the broken diffs. TRX 300's and Foremans all do the same thing. IF your out in the woods and rip one,,sure" glue to glue" is an awesome fix. But then park it and fix it once and fix it right :)

I remember reading the same thing but i think it was for a big red 250.

I totally agree with agent 007. it doesnt take much water or muck to destroy a diff. A 20 dollar boot is cheap insurance.

im not suggesting he do it, just sayin i did, and i have a yamaha and couldnt get one anywhere, the one i have now came from a bear tracker i bought for parts. i also payed attention when i ran it, stayed away from mud and water.
