Make sure enough fuel is getting to the carb from the fuel tank. If so then you may need a rebuild kit for the carb.

Did you take off the gas tank and rinse it out good and make sure fuel is flowing freely? If not, I recommend it.
Mine was doing that but I think I have worked out the kinks now.

Ya ive done that if you look at the inlet side of the carb theres the three little openings if i cover half of the one in the center with my finger i can get it to rev up what is that holes purpose i know the one to the right is for the choke and the other on the left is for the mixture screw

Look around and try to find a manual, you need more info than I can give.

check your throttle body needle for bends and wear, can wreck havoc if you overlook that one area of the carb. also here is a link to a downloadable manual http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

If its like the 225 they might have filters on the fuel petcock inside the tank that might need cleaned too.

does the idle mix screw have any effect?
does it have black smoke out ex?
try lowering the needle all the way to lrean it out.
check gas level by attaching clear 10" long hose to bowl drain, hold open end even with top of carb, open gas valve and drain screw, gas level in hose should be from even to base of carb body where it meets bowl to 3/16" below it.
high is rich, low is lean.
Adjust float as necessary.

what size is main jet?
try smaller main
install new plug for plug color test.
if gas is over a year old or new gas was added to old change it.

No smoke and i drain all the old gas and cleaned it out the mixture screw has an effect the main jet is a 112.5 the spark plug was a dry black color i raised the needle to the fourth notch it got worse so i dropped it and ended up raising the needle to the last notch and 1and a half turns on the mixture screw seems a lot better but not perfect

you are definitely running the wrong carb but you can check out the specs and maybe rebuild to proper settings. 174718

it's more the jets, main needle, and throttle body you are needing, and I would have to go through mine to see which ones I still have
