Does any company make roller cams for the 350x...that is cams that have needles bearing to reduce friction. Think it would cost a lot to have machined? Anyone done or seen it?

I have heard of it being done, but I am sorry I don't remember where, But I think it was four stroke tech that did it to the 426 stroker project, They did the big valve kit and the needle bearings for the cam, And I'm sure that it would cost Alot

There are no roller cams available for trikes, although a roller tipped rocker is an interesting idea! There are cams available with needle bearings at either end, and Megacycle carries them. See your local dealer.

It took them like 4 years to get their web site up and working, but I see it finally is. Looks like you need acrobat reader to do anything with the site though. http://www.megacyclecams.com/

I have pics of a head set up on ebay that had needle bearings, it sold for like $450 and even the top motor mount on the head cap was broke off.

Yes, Megacycle has needle bearing cams, but no roller cams for the 350X. A roller cam would require roller tipped valve lifters, and no such thing is used on the 350X.

Wrong terminology gets you wrong equipment...

Thanks for the correction. Will the needle bearing cam drastically reduce friction and prolong the life of my motor like I think it will?

I don't think that those cams were produced with friction reduction in mind. The little bit that it would be reduced is quite negligible. They are more for prolonging journal life, and/or a journal fix. I have no idea at all why there were never any replaceable bearing inserts in those heads! Well worth the $$ if you have a bad journal and want to fix it right the first time around!

By looking at the info 350kris posted it looks to cost around $580 (not including the 137.00 valve spring kit chr/moly tops to .390" lift) to fix grooved journals and cam? THe $580 also included the regrind of the rockers, which I don't know if you'd need or not.

Too bad it wasn't more like $300.
