Ya that's why I had a hard time trying to figure it out... Someone deffinatly put some time in if that's homade and did a decent job... I assume it would be OK to use then? What is stock length? This measured 22inchs...

The way the swingarm is solid in front makes it look like it's made for the 88-89 TRX250R. Is it possible this is a Cal-fab unit for an 88-89 TRX250R?

It does resemble the trx units I seen on eBay... I didn't see and markings though...

I was thinking the same thing because it is solid at the pivot point. Not space for the motor.
Could have something worth a lot of money there. Not sure.

Nice... would it be marked somewhere? I'm not sure how to identify it? Or is it just a best guess situation?

that is one serious swinger for sure! It looks like it may have been modeled after a cal fab, but just looks beefier to me. Who knows!! Have it polished up and slap it on ebay, i bet it will make a few bucks for ya! cool find regaurdless!

OE 85 carrier... I would DEF want to know WHAT I was selling if I was selling it !!
It's a 86 carrier. I still believe it's a one off custom job for a 88-89 trx, but have been wrong many times before.

Almost looks like engine mounts might have been moved too.... Could some have done a swap?
Almost looks like engine mounts might have been moved too.... Could some have done a swap? The pictures are hard to see, but I was thinking it was made for a trx or there was another engine in the atc frame that didn't require the rear engine mount like the 85-87 250r's, so he just made the pivot point straight across. From looking at the other Calfab arms produced, it doesn't really share the same characteristics other than being aluminum.

post a pic over on trx250r.net, maybe someone there could identify it?
