Stopped in Wisconsin to visit one of my sisters a couple weeks ago. Her husband has an 84 225dx that he bought new in Nov. of '83 for $1500 at a Yamaha dealer in Eau Claire. I hadn't ridden it since about 1985. He only uses it these days to pull a mower behind for their huge yard. He said he'll never sell it. It's not mint, but it sure runs and drives nice, and he keeps it inside. Damn I wish he's sell it to me! :D

That's him in the pictures, he's 55 now. Bought it when he was 25. No winter riding as he buys a new snowmobile every year for the past 35 years or so....

Looks pretty close to mint to me! At least better than what they try and pass off as mint in these parts!!! Tell him to leave it to you as an inheritance, maybe some day then it will be yours! :)

It's a leftover part that helped mount a gun on there. Homemade....
