Love to see posts like this. Even though I wasnt around when the three wheelers were big, I still enjoy these pics as much as the next guy. My only question is why rick disliked the pics?

These pictures were taken at the Santa Cruz Fair Grounds. I have some of the race action. I really need to scan them instead of taking a picture of a picture.

Hey stroberts22 what part of KY are you from. Did a lot of racing up in Western Ky. Some of my earliest racing was on the flat track oval at Paducah.

I live in southern Graves county on the TN/KY boarder. I'm about 45 miles from Paducah International Raceway where you raced. Use to race a ump modified on that track. Did ya'll use the whole track? That thing is a big 3/8 mile track! When the Tindal family had the track they brought back atv racing back to pir with a TT track in the infield.

That was in '80-'82 IIRC. I think we ran the whole track. I just remember showing up at the first race way under geared. We were used to running 1/8 mile. That was my favorite flat track. My brother and I were working at the Honda shop in Brownsville and would get off work and drive the 2hrs to the track only to have time to sign up and race. No time for practice. :lol: I know I have pic's of that somewhere over at my parents. What I have more than pic's are VHS tapes full of race action. I really need to have that converted over to DVD.

We also raced at Cadiz at the Trigg Co. Sports Plex. It was a neat Moto Cross track. The Mid South Hair Scramble Series had several stop in KY. Some really fast woods guy in that neck of the woods.
