Compatibility question

Is a 1986 honda cr250r motor the same as a 1985 atc 250r? I found a guy who is willing to sell me the whole bike(blown up) for $100 and i need a new stator, reeds and a carb for my atc. Does anyone know if their parts are interchangeable?

bump... I picked up the bike for Auto demon today. it has a 38mm flat slide keihin carb on it. I did not realize that the cr motor had a power valve until I got this thing. I am assuming that the stator/cdi/ coil are all the same tho? any info would be appreciated. asides from the kick starter and power valve are there any other major differences?

no balancer, different ign, different eng cases, might be able to adapt cdi, hopefully others will know.
