Found this sitting in the garage today. Been sitting for over 20 years:eek:. Built in 1978/79 or so, this is my dad's atc90 engine thats so modified i almost cant list it all. Shortline10 will appreciate this motor. It has a Pauter machine cylinder, powroll stroker, web camshaft (biggest they make!!!) My dad says that he had to cut the head just so that the lobes would get past the journals . Check out the "homemade" oil cooler, a piston from a honda 750-4 motorcycle, BAPP intake, welded timing advance, full barnett clutch plates and springs, BAPP crankcase breather, 30 or 32mm carb, the rotten UNI filter (LOOONG GONE:lol:), the automatic clutch was modified to kick in at a higher RPM, and it almost breaks your hand to pull start it :lol:. He said he had to cut part of the insides out of the throttle so that it could open up the carb the whole way:lol:. My dad used to work for honda years ago, and had a lot of fun modifying the heck out of these. "No need for low range, high only" he says:lol: He also ran it on 104 octane AVGAS.
:pics: Looks like it could use a good bath  Anyone know where We can get a pauter atc90 tube frame? it would be cool to get it up and running again.

That's a first model US90 pull start. You can see why the factory changed the design. The first models used to let water into the stator because the cover where the rope goes is shaped like a funnel.

We would, but it has to be a special atc90 frame because this engine will bend a stock frame from the torque and horsepower.

This symbol here must mean Pauter Machine, with the "P" and the "M" all in one.
