Yep, theres some proof, indeed. Could be just an aftermarket seat cover...but who knows?

This is the same seat that was on ebay. I want to thank jez for sending this seat to me. He's a very good guy to work with. Its sitting on my 85 frame I plan on restoring. I just bought another seat today for a 86 and when it shows up I will post some pics of them side by side. I can almost garantee this is an original seat. The staples have never been removed and are rusted just like my old 85 mint seat was. The white on it is very thin, looks like somebody at one point had scrubbed on it to clean it. If you look at the brochure you will notice the atc is at a slight slant just like this one is (bottom of atc). The top is level with the top of the seat.

Are there any HONDA part numbers on the seat pan? Manufacture date codes??? I know there are on every 350X seat pan I've seen.

HONDA make date codes and crap on a seat pan? WTF where you come up with his crap, i got a couple 250R seat pans and a 200x seat pan, and theres no markings at all, i even looked at my buddys 350x seat pan and nothing.

and also, it has to be stock, its illegal or something like that for a company to reproduce the "atc" without having the companys name by it or anything, and also, if it says honda on the back, thats even bigger proof that its stock, you wont find a aftermarket seat cover that says honda on it (unless of couse it says CEET or some other crap on it)

i think that is the one seat that appeared on ebay. i never said it was not real. in fact i hope it is real. it is possible for someone to remanufacture a seat cover with those markings. even though you are not supposed to.
