Finally got most of the 87 done. Cobra exhaust, 350X carburetor with the airbox lid removed, Aluminum bars, 200X triples and forks all rebuilt, 250R front rim - hub and tire and Douglas .190 rims with XC Bandits in the rear.

I Welded new stops I made onto the SX frame so the 200X triples wouldn't hit the gas tank.

Still have lots of work to do..... I'd like to get a new red tank and get a high compression piston and cam in there soon. I also have to finish the front brakes as someone sold me a snapped off master cylinder but he's supposedly gonna make "good" on another one - I will not disclose that individuals idenity for now .

It already smokes my stock SX and after I build a motor it should really go well.

And of course matching gold rims all around would look sweet.

I agree - I have 4 spare frames so if I get some time I will build another chassis and powder coat a red frame. That with the gold rims would look fantastic.

Looks great. Good move on the 200X Front end. A Red Frame, White Gas Tank, and White Headlight would really have that thing lookin sharp!

I have every piece of plastic in both red and white and a red or white gas tank too. I just cannot find a nice white headlight.

How much suspension travel do you gain?

The fork tubes themselves are only about 1" taller but then you can run the taller 200X, 350X, 250R front tire and rim. It also allows the use of a disc brake, nice looking front fender, stronger triple clamps and much better front suspension.

One of the best looking sx's out there. I think it would look even better with a 250r front fender. Can I see a shot of the exhaust? Keep it nice

very nice, all 250SXs look better with thinner tires.

Should be a lot easier to wheelie since you got rid of all that weight.
Looks sweet  I bet it steers a lot better now
