I'm going to pick up a new triple tree for my 350x on monday night and the guy I'm buying it from said he has some sort of aftermarket head light shell for a 350 that has a spot for racing numbers to go. He said it hooks up the same as the 350 light does (rubber straps). I think he has a 250r head light bucket, anyone think the same or did maier of some other aftermarket company make a different head light shell for the 350?
There were and are tons of aftermarket headlight/number plate combos for dirt bikes. Acerbis made them among others. Perhaps he has one of these or maybe an old one that was for a 350X or 250R, which would be cool.

Its prollay a 250r bucket cause I haven't seen an aftermarket headlight bucket for the X.
Its too bad those dirtbike style headlight assemblies aren't wide enough for the older 84-85 Tecate's. Its a real pain trying to find something that will fit over the radiator and still flow air. The stock headlight situation doesn't do it for me.
