1983 200x chain tensioner broken help

Hey everyone i got a quick qestions i have a 83 200x and my chain tensioner broke is they any way i could hack something up to tighten the chain? Thanks

Whatchoo mean broken?
Hit a rock?
snapped off?
just not tensioning?

MAYbe something about using a taillight screw (3mm) to push and pull up on the tensioner
or something but that may be on the xl100.
