I have a tri-z works shock and the bushings are going bad. I lift up the grab bar, and there is play in the rear end.
I dont know if I need to buy a bushing set from works, or if I can buy a tri-z/warrior/banshee set from pivot works or allballs or any of the other brands.
has anyone with a works shock replaced the bushings/bearings? Another thing is.. I see all different kinds of bearing and bushing kits. Whats the best kind?

My guess is you will need to buy them from works. I have an older works shock on one tri-z and a newer works shock on the other. They each have there own style of bushing but both a different from OEM yamaha bushings.

Ya. me too. I have an older and a newer one. Both different.
I dont know. I think a regular aftermarket set will fit..
I mean... the overall width needs to be the same. And the inner diameter needs to be the same. I just dont know about the od of the bearings/bushings. Or... ID of the shock collar....

No one has replaced the bearings in a works shock? I might just buy a set of banshee bearings to see if they fit. If not I can use them on a oem tri-z shock.

You can call Works, they still make Tri-Z shocks, so I'm sure they have parts on hand. Also don't be so sure that is the only thing making your rear end noise. All my link bushings were cracked and a few were worn when I redid mine with NOS parts. Even the slightest wear in those bushings will make a noise when you lift the rear end up.

Ya. I just know they charge alot for them. So I wanted to save some money if I could. My linkage is all nice and tight. I just built the z. Havent even started it yet. I gotta do some finishing touches still.
