kill switch plastic. polish/buff?

So. Has anyone tried it? My kill/light switch on my 250r looks kinda trashy. Scratched and oxidized. How does this plastic stand up to sanding and buffing? Or is it just the way it is...? Or.... Will I have to be the one to try it?

I spray painted the kill switch on my 200x, turned out really nice.

I have the housing of another one i'll play with tomorrow. if all goes well ill make a new thread with pictures and such. if not... ill post here with the disaster lol

A neighbor of mine had some pieces from his corvette that looked a lot like the plastic that the switches are made out of. He threw them in a blasting cabinet with extremely fine glass beads and they came out great. Id give it a shot if you could get access to one. Good luck

thats a really good idea! but i do not have access or even know anyone with a cabinet :(
