Here's my 250r I'm picking up tommrow, I have to drive up to Seattle in the morning and get it. I'm also keeping the aircooled winter project, I really did'nt want to part with it. I've been waiting a while for a 85-86, this one has been in storage a while.

I giving a grand for it, What do you guys think? He rode it one time this year put new tires on it and thats it. he said before that it sat in storage for 5 years. I can't wait to take it for a spin. I dropped the aircooled parts off at my new media blaster I found tonight, and I guess they do plating there. They got me thinking shiny 250r parts now! I got to talking to them and I guess their boys have 250r trikes and one of them their frame is chromed. I told him to email me a pic of that.

Wow what a busy day, cleaned the shop out, Worked a little on cleaning the aircooled motor did a onece over on the 85 R
and loaded it and the SX up for a ride. Man that baby is a nice riding bike. definitly plenty of power, but the suspention is nice. Now I see what Dirtcrasher was talking about, getting used to that power. First time I hopped on and let it warm up and blipped the trottle, bang off to the races, squirrly as heck, but as soon as I got a feel for the bike, man did I have fun. The power was nicer than the tecate, and I could control the trike. I'm going to have to put holeshots on, the knarlys hooked up to good, I'm going to have to check out the clutch also, the cable is adjusted all the way out on both ends, but I could'nt feel it slipping at all, anyone have any ideas? also its going to need new sprockets and a chain, they looked wore out but thats not a big deal. Here's a pic of the 85 R and the 84 aircooled motor I'm cleaning up and the bikes in our shop.

one more, I'm going to have to do something with that braided brake line, I was thinking about sliding a rubber hose over it to stiffen it up and then take some hose braid to make it look better.
