As I was going through my Tecate, checking for loose bolts and looking things over, I noticed the lower bushing on the rear suspension dog bone has way too much play in it.
I did a quick search but can't seem to find anything. What are people doing to replace these? Parts fiche is showing discontinued. Anybody tried making them from delrin?
Thanks for the help!

Hello Falloutboy
The following suggestions are just in case you don’t get any that are simpler. The originals are listed as availabe at the two sires I pasted the links to at the bottom of this post. The hole inside the adjustable rod end is a standard size so you can use a couple different options if the originals are not available at those sites or if you want to save some money. Click on the links to see photos. Obviously just ignore this post if it doesn’t interest you.
1. Buy new metric female heim joint rod ends from bearing supply store, industrial hardware supply, grainger.com or internet supplier. Very common part, one end is left hand thread.
2. Buy new heims from bearing supply store, industrial hardware supply, grainger.com or internet supplier. Even Indy cars use these so they should be readily available for order from one of the stores listed.
3. Buy new drawn cup caged needle bearings and sleeve [like the swing arm bearing set up] from bearing supply store, industrial hardware supply, grainger.com or internet supplier. Very common part, one end is left hand thread.
4. Sleeved tortional bushing from bearing supply store, bushing supply store, industrial hardware supply, grainger.com or internet supplier. Very common part, one end is left hand thread.
5. Buy used link from motorcycle salvage, see internet.
6. Make new dog bone.

The kx motorcycle one is the same. I bought one for like $10 with all of the rubber washers that seal the bearings. THe KX ones are a lot cheaper than when a Tecate one comes up for sale.
