Hi All. Wondering if anyone here has experienced what I am experiencing. I have a 350X with a Dureblue axle and anti-fade lock nut. It is this type:

When I installed these parts, the nut went on very nicely. Now after sitting (virtually un-ridden) for 1.5 years, the anti fade nut is seized on. I can take the allen headed clamp stud out but it is still tighter than tight and won't budge with a large cheater bar and heat. I don't know If I will be able to remove it without cutting it off and replacing it. Any ideas guys???????????

Have you tried soaking it in PB Blaster? When I bought the axle assembly for my Trixy project, EVERYTHING was seized up tight. After a lengthy process of giving every nut and thread a good soaking in PB Blaster for a month or more, on a daily basis, everything came loose. With the axle nut, I soaked it in CLR rust remover once off the axle and even IT cam loose. Just a thought. When you do get it apart, clean the threads with a wire brush or wheel on the angle grinder and apply a good coat of Anti seize compound to everything. Also try tapping it with a hammer just to break the rust bond.

Hope this helps.

Was it stored where it could get moisture on it? Try kroil if you don't have pb blaster many members say it is much better, spray on a few times a day for 2 days if not moving do it again every day until it does.

was stored indoors the entire time. It's not rusty at all. I will try the penetrating oil soaking for a few weeks and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestions!

It won't take near that long with kroil.

Is it left handed thread like the 85 250r.

If I had one in my hands, I could make some suggestions.

I just use heat but it ruins the product and can affect it's strength.

Kroil blows PB out of the atmosphere.......

Tim if I remember right you turn the threaded part on the the flats. The nut part is on the axle splines.

I greaded mine well and run electrial tape over the nut. I was told this helps keep junk out and stops these issues. It has on any machine ive had since learning this info about 6 years ago.

I grease all my crap and that locking OEM nut keeps coming loose; Better than seizing I need to drill and tap an 8-32 or 10-32 set screw with a nylon tip into there.....

Red Loctite works well on the OEM lock nut.

I know this has gotten me before. Try going the other way, then back. Even if it is making it tighter. Usually helps free it up!!
