I have the spacer made up. The spacer is 7" long in total and is pounded into the frame so the total spacing is only 1.5 inches

The spacer is all the way in and is ready for welding.

This is my 3rd frame stretch. The line going up the frame I used to keep the frame straight.

I have the freshly painted gas tank in its new location. The front tank mount was moved rearward 1.5".
I am starting to look at stickers for the tank and fenders.

I think it's a good start. I am calling it quits for tonight. I will start welding and grinding. I also need to finish my frame stand I will have pics soon.

I personally would v it out a little more.Even put a little gap in between the pieces.Plus you need to plug weld the inner piece in.Do that and it should be good.

I plan on rosette weld the spacer. The v is narrow, I will tig weld the first pass for penetration and a clean weld root. Then clean and cap with the mig welder.
The spacer is a 2" stock that is 3/8 thick cut down 1/8" to slip fit into the frame.

Looks Great. I'm sure digging that intake manifold on your engine, And the angle of the intake out of the head. No wonder those motors haul trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro.
