View Full Version : Tri-Zinger tank on Tri-Z need some help
Ok wtf I can't figure out how to mount this little terd on my frame and keep my plastic on, can someone give me some detailed pics of how this works? Do I have to alter the tank to make it work? Thanks.

The tank just kind of sits in the frame where the airbox used to be and the airbox cover holds it in place. You do have to cut a hole in the airbox cover for the fill. Mike from Long Island has an extra cover that is allready cut and I think it's for sale.
Yep, got to cut the top of the airbox cover. :(
Don't worry Jeb I wouldn't do it except my plastic some ding-a-ling already cracked it, so it's no biggy. All you have to do is just cut 1 hole for the filler and that's it?

The hole is actually a little bigger than the filler. The top of the tank sticks out about 1".

about how long will a zinger tank of gas get me pit riding i want to no if its worth it i just dont want to have to refill it every hour.
Probably not very long. What I'm gonna do with mine is make it so it drains into my main tank when it gets below a little bit, so I have 3 gallons of gas + reserves. heehee
Could I get an above pic of how the Zinger tank mounts?

yeah id also liek to see soem pix of it installed guys i like the fact of being able to take that old tank off the ass end and be able to bolt a high flow clamp on type air filter on the beast in place of the restrictive air intake it has right now.
I don't think you have to take off the main take to put on a clampon filter? DO YOU? IF I DO THAT RUINS ALL MY PLANS NOOOOOOOOOO!
Ahh I think it'll fit, just have to do away with the coolant overflow bottle. make a tube run to the ground.

yeah i herd you do but taking out justthe coolent over flow might work as well but im not sure i herd you had to ditch the rear gas tank all together.

I have a clamp on filter on mine, but it just barely hits the tank, I am going to make an elbow joint to angle the filter a little bit.

I dont have any film right now, but I will take some pics asap, you have to ditch, or relocate your overflow bottle.
