Moderate functional restorative builds of otherwise basket cases (they both came to me in cardboard boxes) over the past 12 months. Both run great but are in need of cosmetic (the 200) and general parts (the 200ES) to be complete bikes. I have an 83 200E in the works as well. Now I need another....:wondering

i just got my 82 200 running last weekend. Went for a ride and really enjoyed it. The recoil (pullstart) on your 82 looks like it is off a Big Red or a 200M. Is that right? I need one for my 200 and I have aline on one that is off a 83 Big Red. Not sure if they are interchangable. Also great job on getting those trikes up and running.

Buck: good eye! Ya that recoil is a spare of the 200E until I get the 200 rewound and cleaned up. Ya they are interchangeable but a couple (out of 6 or 7) of the holes don't quite line up so water gets in there.
MojaveRider - thanks.

What kind of 84 200es parts are you needing? I have a parts machine that is basicaly stripped down to nothing.

Dude - good front and rear fenders, headlight housing, air box, foot brake lever and hardware and matching dog-leg brake levers would be a good start. That'd be awesome, especially the fenders.
Thanks!

I concur entirely. I've been bringing derelict and neglected stuff back to life for 2 decades. Outboards, Briggs and Strattons, trikes and chainsaws. Thanks brother!

I have an air box (no lid), and just the brake lever, pretty sure the rest is missing. Fenders are probably the most commonly broken part, mine came with none as the last owner used a lot of parts off it to fix his machine. I can get some photos if you want.

I started my shift at work and picked up another project quad yesterday, hopefully in the morning I can get some photos. Shipping to canada sadly is crazy expensive, lowest I would think is around $20 just for shipping. You might be better off finding one in Canada :(.
Looks like they sell on ebay for around $30, so I would be looking for around $20 usd + shipping.

Sorry it took a while to get the photos. I forgot you wanted the foot brake lever too, $10 extra for that, so $30 + shipping.
I placed them both in my web store at: http://atcfixer.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2&products_id=59

Ahh didn't even think about the fact you are from canada, I included the price for shipping in the item. It will allow you to buy it by marking the shipping as in-store pickup.

Are you looking for a better gas tank (dent wise)? I have one that has a bit of surface rust on the outside, inside is pretty good and I don't think there are any major dents in it. Was going to fix the machine up, but I think it is going to cost too much so looking to part it out.

PS2F:
I actually have a decent tank with no dents that just needs paint outside and the Kreeme liner kit applied on the inside - both time consuming for me and thus I'll ride it for now and get to it over the summer. Thanks tho! Might have found some fenders too :w00t:

Congrats, I looked over the tank and it does have a couple of dents, not super noticeable but they are there. I got the machine running now and it runs great, I think an engine swap is due with one that smokes but looks nice :).
