Goin check the valves on a 86 big red what's the Manuel say

Intake:0.08mm (0.003 in) Exhaust:0.08mm (0.003in)

I know it isn't much.
For 1987 es , I actually put a piece of small diameter fuel line on the adjuster to turn it
since it's a tiny square adjuster.
Someone posted a pic of a bent square drive deck screw to grab the
adjuster but the deck screw kept snapping when I tried to bend them.

Is the engine noisy?

This also brings me to another question:
Do valves tend to loosen or tighten over time?
