TRX250r - Fatty pipe and v force reeds, rest stock - lost the ignition (both bikes? lol)
Blaster - Assembled at the camp site, wasn't jetted worth crap - ran like a raped ape!! tires off my YT175 :)

Question. How would a stock 200x run in the sand out there. A friend of mine went 2 years ago and did nothing but complain about how the sand robbed all the power and how slow it was. Any input?

The sand is 1 of the meanest of the mean. Robs all the power and truely test everything. If you take a 200x, youll probably want knobbies on it, paddles take a lot to move.

The pro wedge or 4snows work extremely well also. May want to gear down some. Or hop the machine up :)

Thanks John. I wouldn't have been there if it wasn't for you coming through on the flywheel and intake :)

First time I went, my son and I went with 2 of my 200Xs. We had a great time.

However, sand rewards power. With a little X, you have to think more and plan more and manage your momentum. They won't race up a dune from a standing start at the bottom like a 250R so you can't just ride around with your head up your... You have to pay attention.

The power of the big trikes spoils you. You can make mistakes and power out.

Anyway, I bought a 350X and a 250R and sold both 200Xs because they never got ridden.

I'd agree with JB. My first ride out was on my KLT200. With the right planning, you can make it most places. Next ride was a YT175, stock. Planned moves.. I got around... Then I was somewhat modified. Didn't pay attention, look at my avatar there LOL.
