Dear All,

I wonder if I could pinch some opinions from some of the long term users of Yamaha Tri-Zs and the oils you have had a good experience with.

My machine is road legal and so I will not be riding it hard all of the time. I am currently using Silkolene Comp 2, which is what it come with.

Best regards,

David

Hello

I don't currently have a tri z but like them. I was actually just curious is there a specific reason you are asking about the oil? Do you not want to use the Silkolene or want to know if it's good etc?

Many people use many different oils at many different ratios in those all with good success. The best oil is probably Maxima 927 but it is best to continue with what you have, at least don't mix your synthetic with castor based oil like Maxima.

Hope this info helps.

There are 2 types of comp 2 premix and plus sx. the plus sx is for injector bikes the other is obviously for pre mix.

Hi barnett468,

No specific reason, the trike came with Silkolene, but I guess I was wondering what other oils are well suited to Tri-Z.

Many thanks

Hello

Thanks for the reply. Any of the name brand oils are fine like bel ray, amsoil, maxima etc. You should get a few replies to your question.

Although I'm not a long term tri z user I can't give the best opinion but I used silkolene comp 2 on my tri z and all my Ktm's without problems but now I've changed to putolene mx-5 because I get a good deal on it. Got any pics of this road legal z?

I am a Amsoil Fan! I run it all the way around. Tranny and premix. All my sleds even my old iron dogs run amsoil!
