Guys, it was my brothers idea to finish off my 'black on black' 250ES with bars and brake handles. The thought never even crossed my mind, but now it's stuck there..
It would be a great finish!

Now not knowing much about handle bar replacement of the geometry involved, I thought I should ask.
I really want the same fit as the OEM..of course without a cross bar. I found these on Ebay but since I don't know the numbers I hesitate to buy until I've asked to make sure I get a good fit.

If you have any other suggestions it would be appreciated..also the brake handle parts. If there is a single kit I'd like to know..so far I've only found replacement handles in black. Haven't seen any mounts..
I really don't want to steal them from my 87 250SX..that would be sacreligious!

So I guess also I'm asking..if anyone has a relatively clean set of handles in black then feel free to PM me.
Oh yeah a black foot brake pedal also!

They look pretty good. Obviously he says there is no choke mount, and the rise is higher than stock, but to find ANY bars without a cross bar is damn near impossible! If you wanted a bar pad, your choices would be limitless, but I cannot stand that either!! Can't wait to see her all wrapped up!

Doug, those numbers seem right IIRC. I don't have factory bars on my red but they are about the same except they bave the stupid crossbar. I'll can compare the dimensions to the ones you posyed if you'd like.

What do you mean 'no choke mount' Bill?(nevermind..I reread the ebay listing) Also what is the stock rise? Definitely no crossbar and I think they look like shlt too..
These one appear to have the correct spread between the triple mounts..others I have seen in the past were thinner and the mounts missed the knurling.

Thanks Barnett..yeah I've seen most of that. But this stuff is all silver brother...as I meantioned in my original post I was looking for all these parts in black to complete my theme bike.
Basically the handles and perches from the 250SX(they are the same as the ES, but black) and a set of 250ES OEM size/style bars in black instead of chrome. The SX bars, though black, are shorter and therefore not gonna work for me.. Also a foot brake lever would be good.
I can piece purchase, but if I can find a full set it would be preferred..

Doug, if all else fails maybe you could try what these guys suggest; removing the chrome....

I thought of taking the steel parts to my powdercoater and see if he could..but then I notice the handlebars had been 'tweeked' in the past. Looks like they got bent and the PO used a pipewrench or something of the sort to straighten..
So not a great candidate..now the foot pedal would be fine and I don't know if aluminum will take powder paint..

Hello Dougspcs
What you want is pretty rare not many blck powder/chrome bars out there in the first place. I think your going to end up with some non black stuff. Bars here are $40.00 to black chrome. Levers etc can be black anodized or electrostatically painted as you obviously know.
Yes you can powdercoat aluminum, see video below. Be careful not to accidentally click on the Kate Upton "cat daddy" dance video, lol.
For future reference if you need stuff.
