I don't think your out of line on price. Wish I could find one in my area that didn't have a 1500 asking price.

This one "may" be for sale at TF.... I have to get rid of either this or one of the Big Reds... running out of room!

Y'know what, the more I look at those flaps, the more I kinda like 'em- they look like they were cut pretty well, and the tank, it's hard to tell(I'm on a phone) is it freshly painted, or a newish Clarky? 500 is a great deal, BTW

i thought about making mud flaps out of dump truck mud flaps but never did it. i hate getting smacked in the back of the head with mud as i don't have any on mine. i must say that looks.

The guy painted the tank with a spray gun... looks like he matched the Maier fenders pretty good. There is a nice huge chunk of the right outer case that's JB Welded... didn't see that earlier. Looks like someone hit a stump in the past :( Good news is, it doesn't leak, and I know there is an sx motor at the local salvage yard that I can steal a good case from.

Nice buy. Whats wrong with the seat foam? ? The reason I'm asking is I'm about to put a cover on mine and the foam is pretty rough from being exposed. I was hoping it would cover fine and dissapear.

My stock foam was pretty ripped up when I got it. I have recovered seats before and the little cracks/rips in foam show through pretty well. So I shaved it down, cut in the seat area a little bit and covered it with fleece before putting the new foam backed vinyl on it. I still plan on getting new foam and a replacement cover, but it works perfect for a temp fix. It is really the last thing I need to do so it is kinda eating at me, but I like the cut out area where I sit, gets me a bit lower on it.

Sorry for the off topic, I wish I could pick up an SX for that price!

Mine has a chunk of foam missing, but some of the ebay seat covers have a 1/2" piece of foam built in, that may make mine useable.
M.Pargiello, nice job on the seat!

The sickness MAY subside when the wallet gets thin... but not likely. Nice grab you made there!

true, true. sometimes I feel the need to do a rescue... even when I don't "need" another one ;)
