Anyone Ever Had a Great deal but didn't work out?

Just thinking about trikes ( of course ) and I just remember this one time a guy had a 350x looked great ran great for only 300 bucks!!, but that thing was he posted the wrong location and it ended up being like 3 and a half hours ( I didn't have a car or anything and it was just to far for my bro to drive) so the deal was canceled:( i really regret that one but hey u never know it could happen again,

So have any of you guys had a great deal that didn't work out?

duplicate story but....
uncle died and left dairy farm to CL poster.
Needed $ to keep the farm. and had 5 of those funny looking 'red' quads with 3 wheels.
Meet at dairy queen at noon, an 80$ round trip in gas.
I WAS freakin' there, talked to the manager lady at the DQ about the story, showed her the hundred dollar bills, guy never showed.
I was there 1/2 hr early and stayed 1/2 hr late.

He emailed me saying he was there and I wasn't and wanted me to come back the next day.
GF read that and figure I was out with a hooker.

Some say he coulda run me down some dirt road and klonked me in the head
and took the $ and 38 spl.
Things are not always what they seem.
