Tecate experts look at these two different seat pans 86-87???

I picked up to t3's One is a 86 the other one was advertised as a 87 but I doubt it.
Look at these seats when flipped over all kawi #'s match they also say 85-86-87 on the pans. One seat pan it thicker than the other and is curved more where it touches the seat. We're there any differences on the
86-87 seats

The seat that was recovered may have been cut as a mod to make it easier to recover(it wouldn't hurt to remove the staples and peel the cover back to see).

The no passenger is oem and the other looks like a ceet cover judging by the material, the one with the "ceet" cover probably had a piece of the pan cut out up front by the tank or it was cracked and needed to be "fixed" the easy way.

I didn't know you got 2 of these... You should really try and restore one the way you do with the Hondas, you do good work

86/87 T3s all seem to have gaps between the tank and seat pan. I usually lift the back of the tank alittle to close the gap. Someone might have hit the pan w a heat gun to bend the pan and close the gap. If you look at your pics the tank to seat have 2 different gaps.
Looks like you can make 1 really nice gen2 and a rider out of what you got so far!

1983-6 kx 250 stator covers and 1984-7 T3 stator covers are all the same.
