You ever seen a zinger throw a rooster tail when the nitrous button gets hit? I have, and so has anyone who watched the drag races at trikefest last year. There is a video of it on here some where.

It is a stock towny engine that I removed all the kickstart parts and oil pump parts from, with a 60cc topend, stock zinger,

Mine is insane off the line I usually sit on the back of the seat to wheelie off the line, on this one I have to sit forward and it still wheelies without trying

His gearing must have something different going on Andy. You need gearing like that.

I am going to try and work the clutch and springs first as it was said it would bark the tires on asphalt back in the day with a kid on it....lol......... Nice to have another member to test and tune with though??? I love that little thing..

Wow that tri zinger brings back memories. What bike did you get 2 speed motor from? A friend of mine has my old zinger he wants to build it to keep up with my atc70.

Its from a towny, good luck finding the engine or parts, they only made them one year and alot of the qt guys grab them up, I paid $200 for my blown up towny engine. Thats weird, I actually raced a stock atc70 with my original zinger engine in and we were dead even, He did have smaller shifter kart tires on it though!

TOWNY 2 SPEED TO ZINGER MODS engine is from a 1982 yamaha towny MJ50. If you get a complete towny engine its a fairly easy swap, i always split the cases on my engines to inspect, all your out is the 2 intake gaskets, base gasket and maybe the side cover gasket, they use yamabond to seal the case halves. when they are apart i remove the kickstart and oil pump and related parts, I dissassemble the oil pump remove all parts and fill it in with JB weld to use it to plug the hole in the case. You can order the plug for a zinger case to block the kickstart hole. the flywheel and stator ARE DIFFERANT, the flywheel sticks out farther and will rub on the zinger recoil, i tried to space it out and use it but for whatever reason it had too weak of spark to run, i ended up using all the zinger electronics, on the rh side of the clutch case you need to grind off a tab so the engine will fit in the zinger frame. You also need the zinger intake manifold, it is longer.167360
