A friend of mine just picked up this Killer 70 which is just wicked and lots of fun. However, it has this issue with the kick starter. It is being interferred with by the rear plastics and you cannot kick start it unless you remove the plastic. We know that you can opt to push start it, which sucks and we also know that you can extend the frame but that's probably not as easy as it sounds. So, anyone have any suggestions or tricks that you have tried? Or, just suck it up and deal with it? What do you think?

Trim the fenders.
Make a hinge of some sort so you can flip the fenders up.
Rotate the kicker handle and use it as a pull start.

The hinge idea was a thought but the pull start idea sounds good. But, not sure how we would do it. Thanks for the ideas. Can you elaborate a bit on the kicker idea?

Why not put a pull start on it?

Convert it to pull start with 70 recoil parts, it's not that hard to do. I made all of my parts fit, or buy the setup from atc70.com

^^^^ what he said. Its easy to do, why hack up the fender unless its in lousy condition. If you use the kicker as a pull handle beware of kickback, my 150 will rip the pull start right out of your hand if it hiccups.

just covert it to a pull start. Extending the frame would do nothing because where you would extend the frame (the tank area) would not change where the motor is located in comparision to the rear fender

If you look close, You can see my kickstarter mounted on my Piranha 150 E-start. I love my "HAPPY BUTTON" But The way I did my build I'm also able to use my Kickstarter very easily.165328165329
