Gas smell in airbox and filter of 85 200x

Is this normal? My airbox and filter reak of fuel. What may cause this? Also my bike as been having a harder time starting and it tends to shut of prematurely when not on the throttle. I recently main to a 112 from stock 108 because my local shop did not have a 110 in stock. The bike has a full aftermarket exhaust. Ideas? Thanks

did you chain the pilot or just the main? how was it running before the aftermarket exhaust when you had the stock jet in it?

Do you have a factory filter or a better flowing aftermarket. It sounds like it is rich. But then should start easier. There should be no gas in the air box, it will smell but no wetness. Have you ever went through and cleaned the carb. Make sure the choke is open all the way and not wore out and partly closed.

I didnt change the pilot. Bike ran good before full exhaust. Still runs good now with tons of power just get a strong odor from the air.box and.poor starting and stalling. Bike has way more power than stock now. Cleaned the carb also.

112 is to large. Bump it down to a 110.
