I have a atc 70 I am going to build. Will probably do a crf70 frame and build it to have front and rear suspension. I am stuck between a few motors. One is should I do a built ATC 90 motor (stroker, big bore, big cam, upgraded clutch, big carb) Or should I do this motor http://www.ebay.com/itm/PIRANHA-150cc-ENGINE-E-Start-CT70-Trail-70-Z50-ATC70-/330827438660?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d06da1a44&vxp=mtr

which would be cheaper? I like the idea of all honda motor but if its gonna cost 800 bucks to build a 90 then the piranha sounds better.

Thanks
Tyler

Go for the piranha. Unless you have your heart set on a big bore. Piranhas are cheaper and have plenty of power.
No replacement for displacement.

I put a Lifan 140 in an ATC 70. I have almost 900 in the whole bike. I built a stroked big bore 90 with cam, intake, hd clutch yada yada yada. I have $900 in the motor alone, not counting the bike.

I have a 70 with a Piranha 140, and another with an atc110 engine that has a 10.5 to 1 big bore piston, cam, pipe, and ported. I'm 250 lbs and my brother is about 190lbs, with me on the 140 I can out run the big bore 110 every time, from take off all the way to the top end. The top speeds are only about 5 mph or so apart but the 140 gets there faster.

I'm running the Mikuni VM-26 carb on mine, Carb has been great. I did change to a K&N Filter with a wrap on it, Didn't like all the sand I was finding in the foam filter.

I'd go with the piranha in something since your using a crf frame. I have about $1000 in my 70 with a honda 110 in it. I nice, not real fast but enough torque to move me around well. Plus I like the high/low range.

My next one will be a 150 electric start..

My brother just built one with a 125 lifan. The kick start sucks
